“ Amazing service! Server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Food and drinks were delicious. I loved the vibe in here and would definitely come back ”
“ Listen, everything about Oliver's was perfect. Our waitress Ashley was the best person we could've asked for as she recommended the oysters, Toast royale, the half chicken, and the cucumber salad. We also tried one of the reserve wine glasses and 2 cocktails. For dessert we had the key lime pie! Oliver's has a really nice aesthetic and is a really nice place to bring friends or a date night! All in all 10/10!! The half chicken and toast royale were our favorites. ”
“ Oliver's is definitely an amazing restaurant. We ordered what felt like all the best dishes on the menu. From starter's we ordered the crudo and the toast royale, both incredibly delicious but the butter from the toast was definitely the show stopper!! From mains we ordered the steak, half chicken, porcini risotto, and the fried chicken and caviar from the special menu. From the sides we ordered the cucumber salad and truffle potatoes. The food was absolutely delicious!! A few things to note and I won't be dinging them for it because I feel in the grand scheme of things, they aren't bad. The batter on the fried chicken was thick, a little to thick for my liking and it made it hard to tell what pieces of the chicken each section was but the chickens flavor and topped with the caviar was delicious. The half chicken, rarely does anyone or restaurant not dry some of the breast out but it wasn't overtly done so it's more of something I notice but I feel it happens everywhere! The stars, the steak, risotto, toast, and cucumber salad. I would definitely order the half chicken again as well. The service was top tier, and I mean it was really really good, from our server to the server assistants. The ambiance was great and I personally enjoyed how it didn't feel crowded. Lastly, a notable mention of the bar menu, the drinks were superb! I would definitely recommend this place and visit again! ”
“ If I had to recommend just one American restaurant, without a doubt, it would be Oliver's! This upscale 1930s LA-inspired spot serves the best cheeseburgers I've ever had--hands down. It's completely redefined the standards I have for NOT JUST my burgers, but American food as a whole. When you order the cheeseburger, you also get a large amount of fries (also very delicious and perfectly salted). They used Hook's 5 year aged cheddar which elevates the taste of the burger. Also recommend cooked medium rare! We also got the seasonal honey butter fried chicken, which is probably the juiciest chicken I've ever tasted. The skin is fried to a crisp and seasoned well! They are massive... definitely took some home as we couldn't finish it all. The stracciatella was delicious. Highly recommend for those who love cheesy-tomatoey food. This was also massive and we couldn't finish it there. Of course - It was all devoured the next day. So incredible! Shout to the awesome staff there. It's been a pleasant experience every time we go. Special shout out to Angie who treats her customers like family, and truly takes the dining experience to another level. We love her so much! She's blessed us with complimentary cookies and popcorn which are soooo incredibly yummy and lives in my head rent free. You'll love it there too! Tip: free parking on one side of the street by the dog park area. ”
“ I took my mom who was visiting, to this wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing; we had the gnocchi, couple of drinks, the cheeseburger, key lime pie and cheesecake. Everything was wonderful! I wasn't a big fan of the key lime pie but everyone else loved it. The server was attentive and gave us great recommendations but I truly love the ambience and the intimacy of the restaurant. Even during the daytime, it seems very cozy, intimate and very classy. I've only been here twice for dinner and I have to try their brunch menu one day soon. ”
“ Great new restaurant to the south loop. I've been 3 times and enjoyed my experience each time. I'd recommend the cheeseburger and fries, truffle gnocchi, and the truffle potatoes. One of my fave visits was when we ordered most of the menu items and shared as a group. For a beverage, the espresso martini is delicious! The service has been good each time - very attentive and the place usually is dimly lit. ”
“ Absolutely amazing from start to finish! Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the atmosphere made for the perfect dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel so welcomed. Everything was impeccable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to indulge in an unforgettable meal, definitely worth the visit! ”
“ Such a cute place! Loved the ambience, the decor, the staff was friendly. The bar space at the front seems like a great place to just grab a drink too. Menu was explained well. Truffle gnocchi was really good, can tell that it is made there, very pillowy. The acres salad is HUGE and refreshing, would have liked more roasted chickpeas in it tho. The toast royale is massive- 4 large pieces of toast. A little too heavy for me. Drinks were fun. Will definitely be back to try some entrees. ”
“ My friend and I decided to try Oliver's on a whim on Friday night. There weren't any reservations available online but we went anyway to see if they had any walk-in availability. Luckily, they had a number of bar seats open so that's where we ended up! The restaurant looks really small from the outside (I've passed by it many times before) but there's actually quite a large space inside. The space is really elegant and I don't know quite how to describe it except that it feels both old-timey and modern at the same time. I loved it! To start, I got the French-ish martini which is outstanding. I don't believe I've had vanilla vodka before and its pairing with the various fruity flavors is simply delightful. The drink description sounds like it'd be on the sweeter side but it actually wasn't, a pleasant surprise! For food, my friend and I shared the tomato risotto and the Oliver's cheeseburger. The tomato risotto had a really nice flavor though I thought it was a bit too salty for me. The meat in the cheeseburger was fantastic; a bit crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries that came on the side had a texture that reminded me of McDonald's fries in a good way, though were also a bit too salty for me. My friend and I have been nonstop eating the past few days so we passed on dessert. My main criticism for Oliver's is the price and portion size. While all the food was quite delicious, I struggle to justify the price of each dish especially when portion sizes are on the small side. The tomato risotto is classified as a main dish but its portion size is probably a measly 8 spoonfuls. I doubt the average adult would be satiated from that. Overall, I would return to Oliver's to try more cocktails but may hesitate to try more items from the dinner menu given the prices. Food: 4.5/5 Drink: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Price: 2/5 Ambiance: 4.75/5 Overall: 4/5 ”
